External Power Supply for Pump & MCU

The pump and microcontroller share a single 12V DC power supply rated at 5A / 60W. The 12V rail feeds the pump directly and also supplies the Mini360 buck converter, which steps the voltage down to 3.3V for the NodeMCU.

Sizing rationale:

ConsumerCurrent draw
Reich pump (45W at 12V)~3.75A
Mini360 + NodeMCU + relay/MOSFET modules~0.3A
Total~4.05A

A 5A supply provides adequate headroom above the pump’s peak draw without significant oversizing. The pump is the dominant load by a large margin — the control electronics are negligible in comparison.

Note that the two LED strips run on separate 24V supplies and are not connected to this rail.
