Where embedded systems meet living roots

What started as a simple idea – a living wall instead of a bare surface – quickly became something more complex: a self-regulating ecosystem spanning
2.44 × 0.9 meters, distinct moisture zones, and more firmware iterations than I care to admit.

This wall runs on a closed nutrient loop, LED lighting, and an ESP32 controller I built and programmed myself. It waters on a schedule, and can be updated over the air. The plants, however, still do whatever they want.

This site documents the build – the engineering decisions, the horticultural experiments, the bugs (software and biological), and whatever comes next.

Everything is a work in progress. That’s the point.
