According to the manufacturer, maintaining foliage plants, living walls and interior plantings requires 40\u201380 \u00b5mol\u00b7m\u207b\u00b2\u00b7s\u207b\u00b9 at a photoperiod of 16 hours per day. At the installation distance used here (~78 cm), the fixture comfortably meets this threshold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, this fixture is <strong>not suitable for high-light plants<\/strong>. Species requiring PPFD values above ~300 \u00b5mol\u00b7m\u207b\u00b2\u00b7s\u207b\u00b9 \u2014 fruiting vegetables, most succulents, high-light tropicals \u2014 will not thrive under this lighting. The wall is 90 cm wide and the two lamps are positioned centrally above it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The optimal mounting distance follows directly from trigonometry. For a 60\u00b0 beam angle, the half-angle is 30\u00b0. To cover a half-width of 45 cm from the central beam axis:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>tan(30\u00b0) = 45 cm \/ d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>d = 45 cm \/ tan(30\u00b0) = 45 \/ 0.577 \u2248 <strong>78 cm<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At this distance the beam exactly covers the full wall width. Mounting closer would leave the edges underlit; mounting further away would waste light outside the wall area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Estimated Light Distribution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The values below are AI-assisted estimates based on the manufacturer&#8217;s PPFD specification (145 \u00b5mol\u00b7m\u207b\u00b2\u00b7s\u207b\u00b9 at 1 m), converted to lux using a factor of ~54 lx per \u00b5mol for neutral white light, scaled to 78 cm using the inverse-square law, and corrected for angle of incidence using the cos\u2074 approximation.
